A new summer group for children ages 8 to 13 will meet Tuesday evenings from 5:30pm to 7:00pm beginning July 20 and meeting at Clint and Susie Marshall's home under the leadership of Susie Marshall and Becky Ruggiero. If you haven't heard, the Marshall's have a swimming pool, so if the weather is good some of the gathering time will be spent splishing and splashing (please bring a bathing suit and towel). If the weather is rainy, the gathering will be held at church in the basement.

Helpers for this activity are needed and your participation will be greatly appreciated. Please call Susie or Becky for more information.

5:30 to 7:00pm

To turn RCW into a Western ranch for the upcoming VBS, we need to borrow some things to use as props. If anyone has and can loan to the church any of the following, it would be greatly appreciated. We will make sure the items are returned to you after the conclusion of Vacation Bible School.

Here is what we need:

Saw horses

Spurs

Coleman lantern

Hay bales

Utility trailer

Lasso

Cowboy hats

Crates/barrels

Cowboy boots

Horseshoes

Old guitars, harmonicas, or ukeleles

Anything else you might have of a Western theme that would make our church the best-equipped and appointed ranch in Bangor!

The sooner you can bring the items to church, the better. Things are shaping up to be the best RCW VBS to date!

Volunteers are Needed......

To help distribute promotional flyers for VBS around the neighborhood over the course of this next week. We have some 8 1/2 by 11 sheets that can be posted easily on telephone poles and with businesses right around the church area. We will also need a few people who are willing to go door-to-door to speak briefly with residents about VBS and encourage them to send their children. Please speak to Elna for flyers and/or for more information.
